The Language Flagship held its 2010 Annual Meeting in Columbus, Ohio from May 25-28. Approximately 130 people attended and participated in sessions on topics such as Linking Assessment to Teaching Practices, National Recruitment Strategies for K-12 and Technology Use Innovations among many others. University deans from all across the United States engaged in a roundtable discussion about institutional sustainability.  Dick Brecht,  Executive Director of the University of Maryland Center for Advanced Study of Language (CASL) won the 2010 Language Flagship Leadership Award for his outstanding support of and work in the field of foreign language education.  See below for some of the photos from this exciting event.
