Flagship Open Grant Competition

In Spring 2019, The Language Flagship plans to announce a full and open competition for all domestic undergraduate Flagship programs, with an application deadline in Fall 2019.  We anticipate that this competition will be for the 2020-2024 four-year grant cycle.  In preparation for this open competition announcement, we will be hosting a series of technical assistance webinars for institutions interested in applying for this grant cycle.    The introductory webinars will include background on The Language Flagship program and helpful tips to consider when applying to Flagship programs.  In particular, the webinars will provide information on steps that institutions can consider prior to the Fall 2019 competition to prepare in advance for presenting a strong application.

We anticipate eligibility for the following languages:

  • Arabic
  • Chinese
  • Korean
  • Persian
  • Portuguese
